Where do I download an OpenDNS Dynamic IP updater client?

You can find and download the official Dynamic IP updater clients for Windows, Mac and Linux using the links in the following table. There are additional third-party clients and services available, but only the ones listed are supported by OpenDNS.

Windows IP Updater

This is the officially supported OpenDNS Windows client, which sends your network's new IP Address to OpenDNS whenever it should change.

Mac IP Updater

This is the officially supported OpenDNS Mac client, which sends your network's new IP Address to OpenDNS whenever it should change.
Linux IP Updater This links to the officially supported OpenDNS Linux client, which sends your network's new IP Address to OpenDNS whenever it should change.

This is a knowledge base article, not a Q&A thread.  Better open an own thead under the Community Help section, and post a screen shot or so, so that we can see what the problem really is.  "Wrong IP" as problem description is totally useless.

I having trouble to open to be installed into iMac of "OpenDNS Updater" and end up saying:

OpenDNS Updater” can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer.

Your security preferences allow installation of only apps from the Mac App Store and identified developers.

Can you please give me advise, thanks.

No, there isn't, of course.  Why should it if you can download it from OpenDNS?

Regarding your security preferences see https://support.opendns.com/entries/23282614-Where-do-I-download-an-OpenDNS-Dynamic-IP-updater-client-
Copying to here for your convenience:

"That's due to a setting in Mac OSX. You can change it (if you have administrative privileges) by going to the Apple Menu, then "System Preferences", and finally "Security & Privacy". On that menu, you set "allow applications downloaded from:" to "Anywhere" to allow applications to be downloaded."

methinks that it's safer to use Control-click rather than allowing apps to float in from Anywhere on my macbook pro. i consider "Anywhere" to be an unsafe place.  you wouldn't BELIEVE what i went through just by having become a member of MS windows live!  cripes!  that's why i like the built-in security on my mac.

Is there a dynamic ip updater for Apple Ipods (iTouch & iPad mini) ?

No.  Updaters on roaming devices do not make sense and are counterproductive.

hi,

thanks rotblitz.. i have a working updater for android ("dynamic dns universal client" - free from googleplay market... but nothing on ipod/ipad.

I also meant for a wifi - home connection (not roaming) - where i think it does make sense, if it's the only device turned on on the home wifi network and you want opendns protection. So if there is any similar updater for apple?

Ah right, this makes perfectly sense if you ensure that it's not running outside to register your home network with a wrong IP address.

"So if there is any similar updater for apple?"

Not that I knew for iOS.  But you could configure a bookmark (maybe as start page in Safari) doing it:
