Apologies for that, we've updated the link.

What category should I use to put a couple of Serbian websites linked to religious terrorism in Syria?

You can submit the domains in categories in which you feel appropriately fit the content of the website. The OpenDNS community will then cast their votes for they appropriate category.

www.reddit.com was categorized in: News/Media, Forums/Message boards.  I am not blocking either of these.  I'm using Moderate uncustomized.  Why is it blocked?  I've since added it as an explicitly allowed site, but why did I have to do that.

Reddit makes heavy use of CDNs, and you may have blocked those.

Your stats should have told you: https://dashboard.opendns.com/stats/all/blockeddomains

For example, www.reddit.com is an alias of the real name a659.b.akamai.net and another alias of reddit.com.edgesuite.net.

I customized the categories that should be blocked, i unchecked Proxy/Anonymizer, but i still get the message "Sorry, xxxxxxxxxx.com has been blocked by your network administrator.
This site was categorized in: Proxy/Anonymizer".  Why is it not unblocking?

It's impossible to know without knowing the name of the domain that you have obscured with your x's.

Have you cleared the DNS caches on your PC and router, and flushed the browser cache on your computer?

It's possible that your IP address is not registered to your dashboard account.

It's possible that you are trying to use OpenDNS as well as LPC on a netgear router.

It's possible that you'eusing FamilyShield addresses instead of the normal OpenDNS addresses.

Or as rotblitz said in his previous post, it's possible that whatever domain you are trying to visit is an alias of some other domain or is using a CDN that is blocked in your other settings. You'll have to follow the link that he provided and look at your blocked domains to figure out what else is blocked.

Again, without knowing what you are trying to access all anyone can do is provide general speculation about possible reasons. You'll need to look through all of those reasons and eliminate them as possibilities.

"This site was categorized in: Proxy/Anonymizer"."

This is informational only, not the reason why it is blocked for you.  Your blocked domain stats are more explicit:
    https://dashboard.opendns.com/stats/all/blockeddomains

    "i unchecked Proxy/Anonymizer"

Did you flush your caches after the settings change?  You must!

Ah, just seeing, this thread is in the Netgear Live Parental Controls section, and LPC doesn't come with stats.
But the tip with clearing the caches still holds true.

@dekiter I think I have figured out the issue with Reddit on your network, try removing the "www" in front of reddit.com in your whitelist settings, and just add reddit.com.
