What We Are
OpenDNS is a recursive DNS provider. A recursive DNS provider is a one-way tool that is able to answer DNS requests which are sent to its servers. For example, a computer using OpenDNS and looking for the server where "opendns.com" is hosted on will send a DNS request to 208.67.222.222, which will respond with "opendns.com is at the server with IP 67.215.92.211". A recursive DNS provider will access this information from the authoritative nameserver where the information is created and stored, and provide this to the requesting computer.

What we aren't
An authoritative nameserver, web host, or domain hosting service. Authoritative DNS servers are the servers that answer the requests made by recursive servers.
A dynamic hostname service (DDNS service) to access your home PC and devices with a dynamic IP from anywhere like DynDNS, No-IP, etc. As a recursive DNS provider, we do not offer this type of service.
A service to access your camera that has a dynamic IP address from the Internet (like itsmycamera.dynamicdns.com). That falls into the realm of DDNS services, above.
A nameserver that can host your domain or provide a domain redirection for you.
