Do you have a Broadband connection that is configured directly on your computer? In addition to configuring your LAN (wired Ethernet) and WLAN (WiFi) network(s), you will also need to configure your Broadband connection to use our service independently.
Using a broadband connection, if you were to configure your LAN as described in our nornmal computer configuration guides, OpenDNS would not work for you. Please re-visit the Network Connections (or Network and Sharing Center) and configure your PPPOE Broadband connection as well.
To do so, please refer to the computer configuration guide for your operating system (https://support.opendns.com/forums/21618384-Computer-Configuration) to find your computer's DNS settings, but make sure to follow all of the below steps for any active network adapters (see screenshot below for a demonstration of Broadband and LAN networks):
Once you have completed the above steps please visit http://welcome.opendns.com to confirm if you have been configured correctly. If not, please open a ticket through the Support tab in your dashboard or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org that includes a result from our diagnostic tool so that we can further investigate why OpenDNS is not working.
