Namecheap DNS not updating
My last successful Namecheap DNS update was Feb 21, 2017 8:00 am. No settings have changed on either DNS O Matic nor on Namecheap. I see no errors in the error log and the service entry is still active. Is there an issue reaching Namecheap? How can I debug this from my end? Thanks!

You visit this URL: https://updates.dnsomatic.com/nic/update
You'll have to enter your OpenDNS credentials, and you should get a return of "good <IP address>". Then you visit DNS-O-Matic to check the log especially for the namecheap service to see if an update has been logged and what the result is.

and https://support.opendns.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/115000587527If this all is good, then your local DDNS update client didn't send an update to DNS-O-Matic since Feb 21. You have to fix your local client then.

rotblitz: I am embarrassed to say that my client was not working. Not sure why it stopped, it has been running on my server for months. The sad thing is there is no log or error or much feedback at all. There is definately a lack of good DNS O Matic updaters for Windows that are free or Open Source.
Thanks for your help. I will consider writing a nice Windows service based application to doing these simple HTTP updates.

What update client are you using? I'm using my router's built-in client, but also the OpenDNS Updater and Marc's Updater work well, both for Windows and free. And they raise errors when something doesn't work. There are some more which I didn't use. I do not think that we need another DNS-O-Matic related update client.
