No internet after enabling Parental Controls on Netgear Genie

I am no longer able to connect to the Internet after enabling parental controls through open DNS. I am using a net gear are 7000 router. It has the latest firmware of the 1.0.7.12_1.2.5. There is no ability to disable parental controls once set and there is no option to do so at open DNS.com. Clicking on the parental controls link in Netgear Genie only brings up a blank page. I tried both chrome and Internet Explorer browser's. I am on able to get to any website, But a ping test of the DNS server came back successful. I am on able to change DNS servers due to parental controls being enabled. Again, there is no option to disable this feature.

  I tried that first, but it fails to open on the PC in question stating DNS issues. When I try it from a different device, there is no option to disable presented.

  Gave up and reset the router to factory settings and abandoned the parental controls

  Ive had the similar problems spent hours going through various options.  I think my problem is with BT as they are not allowing openDNS servers to be used for DNS even although i can enter the DNS server settings in my Netgear router.

  You do not enter DNS server addresses on your router when using LPC.

  Thanks. I only did that when it wasn't working I've gone back to choosing automatically get DNS from ISP.  Still no internet when using LPC unfortunately.
