How to enable live parental control on Netgear Genie after connecting Netgear R6400 router to NVG859?
I just got ATT Uverse and I didn’t know they don’t support parental control. They want to charge me $50 to set up a third party router that supports parental control. I tried to connect my NETGEAR R6400 router to UVERSE NVG589 by connecting their lan ports and turning off the NVG589 WiFi. That worked but I couldn’t access LIVE parental control on NETGEAR Genie. It said the router I’m using is not supported by NETGEAR. So I couldn’t use OpenDNS. I followed instructions on dozens of pages and still no luck. And I had to reset NETGEAR router every time I wanted to access router login.net. That made it so much harder. Anybody knows how to enable live parental control on genie while connected to NVG859??????Any help would be appreciated

I had all the same complaints.
First, add the ip4 on your router as the instructions state.
Second, add to your ip6 the following:
2620:0:ccc::2
2620:0:ccd::2Also, do allow your router to automatically set its own IP6, it must go to these OpenDNS settings. I'm not sure why that not in the setup instructions.

The addresses 2620:0:ccc::2 and 2620:0:ccd::2 do not come with content filtering and stats. You would have to use from the following resolver addresses:
::ffff:d043:dede ::ffff:d043:dcdc ::ffff:d043:dedc ::ffff:d043:dcdeAlso, you must not configure resolver addresses with LPC. This is not part of any instructions.
