OPEN DNS settings for all Wifi Networks on a device
Hi,
I am new to this hope you can all help, this may have been covered before. Does anyone know of a way or even an app that can force the opendns dns settings to be used on all wifi networks. This is what I mean.
My daughter has a tablet, I set the dns settings on her device to use the open dns settings, then we go to a hotel and I connect her to the wifi, this then uses the hotels dns. I can then add the opendns settings to her device when connected to the hotels wifi. any way to always use opendns for all wifi connections on a tablet ? no problem on a laptop as set on wireless device itself, tablets seem to be set on wireless connection. hope that makes sense.

The home versions of OpenDNS are for networks you own, not for your devices in other networks. That said, if you have configured OpenDNS resolver addresses on your router, then all connected devices are covered. For everything else you must look for different products or services.
Look, if you buy a car, you do not expect it to swim and fly too, do you? Why do you expect OpenDNS Home to work outside your home then?

These two sentences, "I wasn't expecting opendns to do it..." and "I was asking if anyone knows a way of doing this using the open dns dns settings", are in contradiction. You can use OpenDNS settings only if OpenDNS does it for you, i.e. if you're using OpenDNS.

And no, I don't need a chill pill, because I'm not agitated. The doctor said that I'm fine. But thanks for the recommendation.
