Unable to setup the Netgear Router with OpenDNS to filter unwanted content
Dear Team,
I am unable to configure the router with OpenDNS. I have tried to follow several threads on the forums, however, failed to succeed.
My router Make and Model: Netgear N300 WNR614
I have run few commands as it was mentioned by the support person in case if this adds value:
C:\>nslookup -type=txt debug.opendns.com
Server: www.routerlogin.com

- I have ensured that the DNS Settings are set to OpenDNS defined addresses.
- I have no networks under the settings TAB of OpenDNS Dashboard
Please help me with the steps I should take in order to setup this in a way that the desired categories should be filtered out.
I am using this in a small home office and would like to ensure that the productive time is not used in a wrong manner.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Best Regards,
Syed H

Either way, undo what you have done so far before you proceed.
Now your decision: What service do you want to use?
- Either Netgear Live Parental Controls (powered by OpenDNS)
Follow only these instructions: https://kb.netgear.com/25687/
- Or OpenDNS Home
Follow only these instructions: https://support.opendns.com/hc/en-us/articles/228006447
From your description you followed a bit there and a bit there which is nonsense. The two services are incompatible. You can use only one of them at any time.
- Either Netgear Live Parental Controls (powered by OpenDNS)
