Shortcuts to websites available network-wide
Hi,
A long time ago (over 10+ years), OpenDNS used to have a feature called Shortcuts. I could create a shortcut to my websites in my network profile on OpenDNS and the end user only needed to enter the shortcut in the URL bar to go to that website.
Ex: Shortcut = Mail, Website = mail.google.com
I would simply enter "mail" in the url bar and it would automatically bring me to my Gmail account.
Since this configuration was network-wide, it didn't matter which device I used, as long as it was connected to my home network.
I know this was discontinued, in 2011, I believe, but I'm wondering if OpenDNS might consider bringing it back.
Or, is there possibly another service I can use, maybe a package I can install on my ASUS-WRT router (also willing to change to DD-WRT or other router firmware), available?
