"www" sub-domain is not blocked

I have 2x blocked domains "lichess.org" and "chess.com".

Both "lichess.org" and "www.lichess.org" are blocked (i.e. I can't access the site at all).

"chess.com" is blocked but "www.chess.com" is not (i.e. I can still access the site).

I have tried multiple devices and browsers, clearing various caches and even waiting for 24 hours.

It my understanding that blocking "chess.com" should also block all sub-domains. Do I just need to be patient (i.e. maybe there is a cache somewhere that I need to wait to be cleared or to timeout)?
