Dynamic DNS service provider offering similar service to DNS-O-Matic?
My router doesn't support OpenDns or DNS-O-Matic as Dynamic DNS service providers to notify of IP changes.
I'm currently using No-IP and it works quite well.
I was just wondering if there are are any Dynamic DNS service providers out there that offer a similar service to DNS-O-Matic.
This way my router would notify it of the IP change and then it would forward the change to OpenDNS, without the need to have any DNS Updater client running all the time or worrying about having the respective machine connecting first to the internet to pick any IP address change. I'm currently using Marcs Updater in a couple of laptops, the ones more frequently on.
Thanks & Kind Regards
Paulo

"Didn't it use to support updates from dyndns.org?"
No it did not really. However, there was a way by using the combination of DNS Allocator and DNS-O-Matic. But this was a gap and has been fixed.
"My router a fairly new Cisco/Linksys EA4500 only uses DynDNS.org or TZO."
You got the wrong model. Broadcom based Cisco/Linksys routers can be flashed with alternative firmware. Yours cannot. :(
