Sure, it may be that Motorola have changed the user interface.  Would you have a link to an online manual?

I have the SBG6580 and saw no way to change.  There is a DDNS Setting but only one provider listed DYNDNS.ORG
So I changed in the computer.   I did a speed test using googles 8.8.8.8  and 8.8.4.4 and saw a significant increase in speed.  will try opendns and
http://www.ookla.com/demo-custom.php?manual=true  shortly...   Will just do the same in wife and sons computers if opendns proves to be a speed increase.

Flushed DNS cache and tested..  I had the worse speed and ping from Houston to Florida... I went from 10mbps to near 40mbps and ping was down from 116 to 45.  Thank you OpenDNS.

This doesn't seem to be a device where one can enter static DNS resolver addresses, as sgarfield said above already.  :(

I was able to find a work around to this issue. Not sure if it is the right way to do it (since I am in the medical field and not IT) but it works for my home network.  Hope this helps.

    1. Control Panel

    2. Network/Internet

    3. Manage Wireless Networks

    4. Select your network from the list and select adapter properties along top bar

    5. Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and select properties

    6. Select - Use following DNS server addresses:

Sure, if one cannot configure OpenDNS on the router, one can configure it on the computer.  This is well known and documented:
