    This device seems to be "set and forget" with no possibility to configure anything, especially not static DNS resolver addresses.

    This is why I always recommend that someone get their own router, where they can control all of the settings. If the "modem" also has router features I recommend disabling as many of them as possible, and putting it into some sort of bridge mode or just forwarding all traffic to your own router, to handle things there. Depending on what you need good routers range from as low as $44 to $200 or more.

    Hi, 

    As rotblitz has already mentioned, it is not possible to change the Xfinity provided Technicolor TC8305C modem-router's  DNS. I would recommend that you configure each individually. See store.opendns.com/setup/ for instructions on how to configure your machines, mobile devices, and tablets.
