How to change DNS settings on Ubee EVW3226 router ?
I need to change the DNS settings on my Ubee router (EVW3226) to OpenDNS but I'm not sure how to do that (for parental control purposes, adult and ponr sites blocking). The parental contol option in the router menu seems to be not working at all for some reason so I've tried to change the DNS settings in the router menu, but when I set up the OpenDNS addresses in DNS Server1 and DNS Server2 fields, I get an information that manual IP change is needed and my WIFI gets completely blocked when I try to use it on mobile devices. What should I do to make it work properly and to secure all the devices? My router menu screenshot attached below

Instead of adding the DNS servers under Local Area Network add them under Internet. Unfortunately I don't have a manual handy for this router model so I don't know exactly what the options there are.
Although they can be made to work under the LAN settings for many routers, doing it that way has drawbacks, so the proper place to do this is Internet (WAN on many other router models).

Ok so I get this screen (jpg attached) when I go to the "Internet" section, what do I do now? I guess the parental control option (in the router menu) should work and solve the prroblem as it looks pretty advanced but I probably did something wrong during the setup so I'm trying to find the other way ;)

It doesn't seem that nobody can help you with this router without looking into the user manual. You may need to configure this under Advanced.
Your best bet is to refer to Ubee support, not only with using a 3rd party DNS service, but also to find out about these built-in parental controls.

It was a bit of a hassle, but finally it works:
On the router web interface go to the "basic" tab and then local network. Change DNS 1 and 2. Then you need to reset the router to factory settings (there´s a tiny hole on the back side of the router which you have to press for about a minute with a pointed tool (pen) until the router starts resetting).
The router will reset to factory settings except the DNS1/2 don´t and then it works.
At first when I didn´t reset the router but only tried to reboot it was caught in an endless loop of restarting.
