I'm sorry, but this doesn't even make sense. What possible relationship is there between efax and DNS?

Sorry for the late response to your post  and it is a very good response to give when asking for 'ideas' from any customer.

But again, your right- what possible sense does it make to have cloud based filters for eFax spammers and phishing attempts to email/ web based portals( not all faxes go to paper targets). - what was I thinking.

I will present the idea and any others we may come up with to google, barracuda, etc before open dns team. The problem with viruses and malware/ phishing via DNS is not the guy who gets infected, it is proactively blocking the guys who broadcast it.  DNS is just name pointing to Ip services. DNS Filtering is just an add on- as would any other bolt-on app serving as a revenue generation service.

you can close this topic box now, sorry for the suggestion. have a wonderful day.

For of all, I'm not an employee of OpenDNS, nor was I soliciting ideas from customers. I was responding to a post in a publicly available forum.

Is all that you were asking for was a group called eFax, similar to all of the other groups that OpenDNS already has. If so, why didn't you say that? Of course, if that's true it's not exactly the world shattering concept that you seem to think it is. It's just another grouping of domains that share a common trait that some people could choose to block or not. Of course OpenDNS already has groups that work perfectly well for blocking spammers, phishing, and other associated malware so I'm not sure how a group dedicated solely to "bad" eFax sites would gain anything. In addition they have very effective malware blocking tools and options in the pay services that they offer.

If you weren't asking for such a group, then I repeat the gist of my initial question, to wit: What is it that you are asking for?

Of course I have no idea who the "we" you refer to in your statement about taking your ball and going to play with others is, so I'll just ignore that, since it's meaningless to me without context or explanation.
