Rather than using the tool to update the IP, its good to have, a MAC ID registered and take the update automatically from it. Now a days, mobile  devices are present and we don't use PCs most of the time. In this case the IP is not updated. so the Admin can update the MAC IDs of a network or MAC ID of the router and the update should be taken from this. It will be more reliable.

  ...but MAC addresses are not being used with and are not part of the usual protocols over the internet.  You would need to redesign the internet...
