This has been an often asked for feature and has always been turned down.  There are ways to limit the login time on user device and would be a better way to do this.

If OpenDNS did add this option it would affect every user on your network, not just your kids.

An external service like OpenDNS has no way cutting your internet connection at all, especially not for particular devices or users.

Cutting or blocking internet connection is generally a local function of e.g. a router or computer.

We offer hardware integrations with that feature, for more information please see: https://support.opendns.com/entries/23363639-FAQ-Filtering-Individual-Users-on-a-Network-Scheduled-Filtering

    Jeff and Kristy,

I am new to OpenDNS and Parental controls features.  Prior to installing OpenDNS i used k-9 on each device which as the OpenDNS product features acknowledges is cumbersome and opens the network up to new or unfiltered devices.

So now with Jeff's comment, "There are (other) ways to limit the login time on user device and would be a better way to do this (than using OpenDNS."

Jeff, with all due respects there is not a better way that I am aware... Installing k-9 is redundant and defeats the purpose of using OpenDNS Family Controls.

Using the ActionTec Verizon FIOS router to limit usage times - is prone to abuse when a child brings into the house a new device and bypasses the router's controls which are based upon device ip address and/or device time.

So, I respectfully request that whomever reviews these requests revisit it... Understood that the limits would be network wide, but in the home network this should not present an issue - the parents also need their sleep like their teenagers.

This question has been discussed multiple times in other threads, including the thread that was linked above. Read them, but in short, to do this you need a Netgear router with LPC, they leverage OpenDNS for various DNS related services and can provide time based control

"So, I respectfully request that whomever reviews these requests revisit it..."

Didn't you read my answer above?  Why do you think that OpenDNS would have control over your internet connection?  It doesn't, in no way!  And it will not get it.
Would you get the idea to request this from e.g. Facebook?  And if not, why not?
