Possibility to block domain zone

i would like to block all sites coming from selected domain zone, ex.: .RU or .SU

is it possible?

  For the sake of clarity, there are no "domain zones".  This is called Top Level Domain (TLD).

  And yes, you can also easily block TLDs, same as any other domains and subdomains.  You add for example ru and/or su to your "always block" list.

  Don't forget to flush your caches after settings changes.

  If I want to block everything foreign like all TLDs, but not .us, .com, .net, .edu, .gov, .org, what do I have to do?

  @agroni You can either use a whitelist only setting and whitelist the tlds that you want access to, as well as the domains that you want, or you can add the tlds you want blocked to your Block list.

  But the generic TLDs you listed can be registered in nearly every country, so they all can be also "foreign".  The right approach could be "block everything but .us, .com, .net, .edu, .gov, .org", i.e. without "foreign".
