Reason for ip change, 'settings for' now shows different ip then 'your networks'
I need to know reasons why this happens and ideas to prevent it / troubleshoot , thank you

It sounds as if what you're saying is that the IP address displayed for your network on the Settings tab of the Dashboard is different from what it actually is.
That's generally caused for two reasons 1) the IP address assigned by your ISP is dynamic and it periodically changes in accordance with whatever rules they use to govern their network 2) the device you're checking from is a laptop or other mobile device and you're connecting from a network other than your "home" network.
In either case, there's nothing to troubleshoot. The IP address is changing, which prevent OpenDNS from working properly for you until you update it.
To prevent it there are a few options
- If your ISP is providing a dynamic address you might be able to get a static one from them, but even if they offer that possibliy it might be too expensive
- If your ISP is providing a dynamic address use some sort of software "agent" to update the address with OpenDNS. Depending on how your network is configured that could mean using something on your router to do this, or it could mean installing one of the dynamic updaters available on the OpenDNS website. There are links for more information about this on the Settings tab
- If you are using a mobile device you might be able to use the website or updater software to "claim" that IP address as your own, but that might not work if the owner of that local already is using OpenDNS. Plus, I think it's just plain rude to claim someone's address as your own if you are just there temporarily. Umbrella and some of the other pay services allow you to use an agent which would allow you to use OpenDNS without claiming someone else's address. I haven't worked for it, but DNScryptor, also an OpenDNS tool, might allow you to do the same thing without claiming the address, but I haven't worked with it

"Reason for ip change,'settings for' now shows different ip then 'your networks'"
"I need to know reasons why this happens..."
Because your ISP assigns you a dynamic IP address, and you don't keep your changing IP address information updated at OpenDNS.
"and ideas to prevent it / troubleshoot"
You can correct this manually at https://dashboard.opendns.com/settings/ by clicking the green arrows icon or automatically by running an Updater, as outlined down on the same page.
"DNScryptor, also an OpenDNS tool, might allow you to do the same thing without claiming the address, but I haven't worked with it"
This is wrong:
- DNSCrypt is not an OpenDNS tool, but OpenDNS supports DNSCrypt. See http://dnscrypt.org/
- DNSCrypt does not keep your IP address information updated at OpenDNS. You must still do it via other means.
