    Hello,

That's a clever idea, but I'm not sure that it would work with our filtering tools without the way to map a network to a user. Currently, our filtering relies on a network's IP address as validation, which doesn't correspond with the account that you use to tag domains. I'll bubble up this request, but I don't believe that it's technically feasible at the current time.

    Hi Patrick,

I'm not sure if I'm understanding you. Is not the Network IP Address bound to an account by the use of the OpenDNS Updater?

What he's saying is that your network settings (where you configure your "web content filtering") is associated with your IP address, whereas your login at the OpenDNS website is associated with your user account (e.g. e-mail address or alias).  And these two, your IP address and your login do not really have a relationship.  That said, the IP address is not bound to an account and vice versa.

Not sure why you bring up the Updater in this context.  This one is only to keep your changing IP address information updated at OpenDNS, for your account's dashboard network.  Also there is no consistent relationship, just for the duration of milliseconds when an update is due.
