IP Updater for Chrome
I don't use a Windows or Linux OS anymore as I use a Chromebook plus my Android phone, it would be nice to have either an extension or an app that would would with either of these to keep my IP address up to date with OpenDNS

No problem, this already exists. Simply create a browser bookmark for the following URL:
https://updates.opendns.com/nic/update?hostname=YOUR_LABEL
Replace YOUR_LABEL by the name for your network label as of https://dashboard.opendns.com/settings/

Sure, it is intentionally not automatic, it hasn't to be, because the Chromebook is to be treated as a roaming device. You don't want to break your home network settings and stats if you're underway, right? Not being automatic ensures that you hopefully update the IP address information at OpenDNS only if you're in networks you own.

Then run the updates from your router. Many modern routers and firmwares allow this. You'd just need to check for information on your router here in this forum, or a forum devoted to your router and/or firmware. It's a much better way than relying on devices that may or may not be there, or may or may not be running.

Thought i'd just update this to say I've got it set up on an Android App on my phone to send in any updated IP address via DNS-O-Matic for my Home Network, the router wouldn't play nicely even though it supports the services needed (firmware issue I suspect)
So all in all happy that I could set it via an app

What of the many apps do the job?
