I am bringing this topic up once again simply to add another voice saying that this would be a very useful enhancement to the service.
I have read many of the other posts on this topic and already know what and whom to expect as responses/responders. So let me summarize what I have found so far.
rotblitz will respond in a very condescending manner that 1) this is technically not possible and 2) this has already been implemented (and thus is possible), and therefore he has lost all credibility and should save his breath (fingers) here. I repeat: rotblitz, you have nothing to contribute to this conversation, so please do not respond. Your arrogance helps no one (except perhaps making yourself feel better about yourself).
Brian Hartvigsen from OpenDNS might respond with his recommendation to use Live Parental Controls involving the required use of certain Netgear routers. Having given the "company line" Brian will entertain no further discussion, giving the distinct impression that Netgear has paid for the exclusive right to offer this service.
This, of course, renders the "Open" part of OpenDNS laughable.
That this feature should be restricted on purely financial, rather than technical, constraints is certainly something that OpenDNS is fully within their rights to do. They sacrifice a significant amount of user trust, however, by not fully disclosing their reasons.
