Top 40 Domains in a Category

The decisions on what categories to block may come from people who don't realize how inclusive a category may be.  It would be helpful if we could print a list of the top 40 domains by traffic in a category.  That way a decision maker could better understand what they are blocking when they choose to add a category to the block list.  For example, blocking the television category also blocks ABC news.  But the decision maker may not realize that this news site is going to be included in the Television category.

  Interesting idea, though I'm not sure how many would actually use it, or pay attention to it. The one question I'd have is how you'd determine the top 40 domains. There are different ways it could be counted, I'm wondering what you have in mind.

  OpenDNS have stated several times that they will not make lists of domains in categories accessible.

  However, you can see what category a domain belongs to, going with your example:

  https://domain.opendns.com/abcnews.go.com
  It belongs to News/Media, Television, Portals and further inherits Portals, Search Engines from go.com.

  If you do not agree with the categorization, feel free to "flag for review".
