MAMP Pro and OpenDNS conflicts

I attempting to set up MAMP Pro up on my iMac at home. I would eventually like to host development websites from home. I am having trouble even seeing my iMac now. 

Are there any known issues with OpenDNS and allowing some access in to my home.

I keep getting different IPs when I go to whatismyip.com and when I use this in the Terminal.

  No, there are no conflicts, as OpenDNS is for outbound DNS lookups out of your network and your webserver's DNS hosting service is name resolution for inbound traffic.

  From internal to internal using your external hostname? Most routers don't support NAT reflection (loopback), so this may not work anyway. Use your internal IP address to reach your service from within your LAN.

  IF you give the children names, we may be able to see what's up. Could be that you're behind a proxy or so.
