Can OPENDNS block this site?
I cannot get OPENDNS to block this website https://kiwiirc.com/client. Can someone see if they can do it and let me know what it takes.
I have cleared my browser and DNS caches.

nslookup -type=txt debug.opendns.com retuurns this: http://screencast.com/t/9StgZTEUs1
nslookup kiwiirc.com returns this: http://screencast.com/t/ImJZi38qkJ9f
OpenDNS is working on all other websites so I assume the router is set up right.

It would have been sufficient to copy & paste as plain text here or to upload the pictures here, because the site you used may be blocked for me by my OpenDNS settings...
A bad idea to use an image host therefore..."It would really help if someone could confirm it works."
Confirmed, it works. Why shouldn't it? But it doesn't work for you, see below.
Again my unanswered question, has your Netgear router LPC (OpenDNS Live Parental Control) enabled?
Only if not: (In case your Netgear router has LPC enabled, the instructions would be totally different.)
"OpenDNS is working on all other websites"
Anyway, but not with your OpenDNS settings. And OpenDNS does not work "on websites", but as DNS service. If you connect to a website, OpenDNS is out of the game already.
Your OpenDNS settings generally do not take effect currently, because your IP address 71.223.132.224 is not registered with your OpenDNS network at https://dashboard.opendns.com/settings/ - so they cannot associate your DNS lookups with your settings. As soon as you correct this and flush your caches again, your OpenDNS settiings will work as you expect them to work.
To prevent this from occurring again, you must run an Updater.

First of all I want to thank you for your help in this matter. I've been waiting for days to get replies to my support requests so your prompt replies are much appreciated.

A bad idea to use an image host therefore...I didn't think about that. Sorry. I couldn't capture the cmd window text to the clipboard so I did screen caps. I'm attaching the images now.
has your Netgear router LPC (OpenDNS Live Parental Control) enabled?
I don't see an option to enable LPC anywhere in my router settings. I have a DGN3300 DSL Modem Router. All I've done is direct the router to the OPENDNS service addresses and added the domains to the block list.

I've not seen anything about registering my IP address in the OPENDNS setup. How do I register it? My network does show up in the dashboard and I can access all the filtering settings.
To prevent this from occurring again, you must run an Updater.
http://www.opendns.com/support/dynamic_ip_downloads/I do have the updater installed and running and I have cleared my caches more than once.
Hopefully the command line responses will provide more insight.
Thanks again

"I've not seen anything about registering my IP address in the OPENDNS setup. How do I register it? My network does show up in the dashboard and I can access all the filtering settings."
Yeah, but your network is not updated with the right IP address which is currently 71.223.132.224. You have to update it manually at https://dashboard.opendns.com/settings/ if you can. If you're unsure, you can attach a screen shot of this page here.
"I do have the updater installed and running"
So, go into its settings to ensure that you have unchecked the option "Send Dns-O-Matic Updates". Else it will not do its job to update your network with the IP address information unless you have configured your OpenDNS service at http://www.dnsomatic.com/ which you probably don't need and want.
"Hopefully the command line responses will provide more insight."
They were not actually blocked for me before, but could have been. Therefore no new insights beside the ones I already posted: your IP address is not yet registered with your OpenDNS network, and therefore your OpenDNS settings do not take effect. This can be seen from the "id 0" output.

I took a closer look at my dashboard settings and noticed a tiny green icon next to my IP address. The hover tip said it was to update the IP address (now I understand what you are talking about). So I updated the address and then went to my updater and toggled off the Automatic update option per your guidance and ran an update.
I've waited a few minutes to allow for everything to synchronize but I'm still getting into the website.
Accordingly I re-ran the DOS commands you provided and have attached screen captures of the results plus all my settings.
I'm sorry to be such a nuisance but I'm an amateur when it comes to IT and I'm new to OPENDNS.
Thanks again for your help.

Regarding your pictures, everything's fine now!
"I've waited a few minutes to allow for everything to synchronize but I'm still getting into the website."
Waiting doesn't help. You need to flush both, your local resolver cache and your browser cache, after each settings change, else you are still served out of your caches. They are really persistent. And you performed a significant kind of settings change, by using first the OpenDNS default settings, and then, after updating your IP address information, your OpenDNS settings.http://www.opendns.com/support/category/10
