I don't know how to add my network.

Your current IP address is already registered with another OpenDNS network.

See http://www.opendns.com/support/article/83 - "Network Already Exists / IP Address Taken by Another User / !Yours"

OK but what if the network it's registered with is not mine?  I'm guessing it's registered to someone else's account, probably someone who is not using OpenDNS Updater and still has this (inactive) address assigned to them but not in use.  In effect it is blocking me from using it.

How can I get around this? I've tried resetting my router to obtain a new dynamic address but so far it hasn't.

Seems like this is a potential flaw in the way OpenDNS works.

    You are right.

As the support article says: open a support ticket.
Also, switch your ISP internet gateway off longer, e.g for minutes or over night too see if this helps to get another IP address assigned.  If nothing helps you could use a different DNS service for the time being, until your support ticket has been worked on, usually within 72 hours.

Not really, if you are aware of it.  Btw, there is some automatic corrective algorithm which doesn't seem to apply in your individual scenario.
