    First, you can only use domain names. If you are failing to block a site with your hosts file, you are doing something wrong with that as well.

    followfollow.com would be the domain name, and at the broadest level, covering any other subdomains like www. or forum. Neither of those are domain names, although the first is just one character off.

    You must flush your browser and local resolver caches after making such a change.

    The forum software hyperlinks anything with www?

    If you want to block all of followfollow.com with OpenDNS, you enter exactly this into your "always block" list.

    If you want to block it with your hosts file, you would add an entry like this:

    0.0.0.0  followfollow.com  www.followfollow.com  forum.followfollow.com

    No matter what you do, flush both then, your local resolver cache and your browser cache.

    If it is still is not blocked, what browser are you using?
