What you have read in the sticky http://forums.opendns.com/comments.php?DiscussionID=11313#Item_2 is the only method to get it corrected - via support ticket. You did it right.

Thanks so much for getting back to me so soon!

I'm glad I didn't miss anything, and hope this will be helpful to others.

Now, if I only knew how to mark this as "answered"…

Answered.  Just spent an hour fussing with it, hung a ticket then came here.  Why is it broke in the first place?  Its the main feature and you have to request it by ticket?

"Why is it broke in the first place?"

Nothing is boken.  If you signed up for Premium DNS, you got this, as you requested. Content filtering is not advertised for Premium DNS.  Else you would have subscribed to OpenDNS Home where content filtering is clearly advertised.

    "Its the main feature"

Main feature of what?  I don't see it as main feature.  The main feature is the reliable and fast recursive DNS service.

"you have to request it by ticket?"

No, you don't have to.  You could create another account, this time subscribing to the right service.  And if you were still not able to do it right the second time, attempt it a third, forth and fifth time, until you succeed.

Only if you insist in using your already created account, you'll have to request via support ticket to change the subscription after you did it wrong.  This is with intention to prevent non-home users and organizations to use content filtering for free.
