sending and receiving emails sends me to opendns?
How to resolve this?

Can you send/receive email using Google DNS (is your mailserver up)?
You can check your MSP's domain classification on OpenDNS here:
http://community.opendns.com/domaintagging/
BTW, do you have webmail blocked in Settings?
Have you tried white-listing "domainname.com" to see if that breaks the logjam.

I can see the following possibilities:
- You have blocked your mail domain by your OpenDNS setttings. You know what to do to get it unblocked?
- Your mail domain is not an A record or has a DNS configuration error (e.g. SERVFAIL). Mail domains must be an A record.
"sent me to an open dns ip address"
An address is a useless information. What exactly is the IP address? We would then see what the reason is...

Unless you give us the output of the commands we aren't really going to be able to assist you. If you are concerned about privacy, open a support ticket and we can assist you there.
As mentioned by rotblitz, it's likely either blocked or you are sending us a query that would only be resolved by some local/internal DNS server and is not properly configured for recursive DNS lookups.
