Im new here & a complete newbie to all this technological such as computers internet etc (not my forte) so please be patient/gentle with me! :)
I checked my Stats and domains yesterday on the OPEN DNS dashboard and went through the last two weeks of visited websites. Can you please tell me if what appears in the lists are all websites visited over that time period? There were a lot of websites/names I didnt recognise, alot that looked like random jumbled letters, some when I copied and pasted them into a new tab wouldnt open and so on. Is there a way to find out what these visited domains are? I have tried checking internet history but on both Google Chrome and Internet Explorer (even Yahoo now) you have the option of private browsing and of course are able to hide and clear your tracked history of visited sites. Is there a way to look at websites accessed or visited even if they were viewed via private browsing? I downloaded Open DNS in hopes that it would track all websites visited but as I said when I checked the stats etc there were hundreds/thousands of domains on there, which I looked through them all, but most seem to be impossible to find out what they are. Also is it possible that some domains/websites are tracked & listed there even if they were NOT visited? For example yahoo privacy page, followed by yahoo safe browsing, followed by yahoo log in and mail? Is it possible this would show up on the lists if no one in my household has visited those sites? Is it possible our neighbours or someone else has the same IP address and Open DNS could be picking up some other visited/tracked websites by other households in our area?
Please explain/break it down to me because I really need help understanding it, anyones time and help/explanations will be massively appreciated!! Thank you for taking time to read my query/post & take care!! :)
