Filter ANY IP
I understand the concept of adding a network, and using local software to address dynamic IP addresses. But is it possible to simply have openDNS apply domain filtering to ANY IP address that uses my router ? My child has an iphone and chromebook and I would like OpenDNS to block select domains from those devices. Thank you.

Our servers can only see your external IP address, they cannot differentiate between individual devices on your network. If you configure your router to use OpenDNS and set up filtering in your dashboard, it should filter all devices on your network because the requests should all come from the same external IP address (assuming your home only has one network). If you would like help configuring/testing OpenDNS on your devices feel free to open a support ticket.

If you configured the OpenDNS resolver addresses on the router, this is the case anyway. All end devices should be covered by OpenDNS in this case if they obtain their network settings automatically from the router..

This is in contradiction to your expectation before. As I said, you get it on all devices already. If you want to use OpenDNS on certain devices only, you do not configure the OpenDNS resolver addresses on the router, but on those end devices instead only. Or alternatively, configure the OpenDNS resolver addresses on the router, and configure a different (non-OpenDNS) DNS service on the end devices you want to exempt from OpenDNS' content filtering.
