I've been using OpenDNS for content filtering for a few months now and never had any problem.
I have configured the DNS servers and disabled IPv6 in my home router as seen here: http://tinyurl.com/ptab3rr .
However, for about a week now, the OpenDNS Updater keeps popping up from time to time, saying it cannot update the network address. I have not changed any configuration so I don't see why this suddenly started happening.
If I repeatedly start clicking to manually update, for instance, one moment it updates correctly whilst right after it fails to do so.
Here's the result of nslookup -type=txt debug.opendns.com, nslookup -type=txt which.opendns.com. 126.96.36.199, and ipconfig /all : http://tinyurl.com/nppuj64 .
My problem is similar to the one in this thread: http://tinyurl.com/ols8tmx .
However, the solution found doesn't seem to work for me, since I have IPv6 disabled in my router, and if I try to disable it directly in the PC, the Updater will fail to work for good.
