OpenDNS is slower than Google DNS for me. 136ms vs 293ms.

I am on a visit to Dubai and I noticed that OpenDNS is slower based on the results by this tool https://www.grc.com/DNS/BENCHMARK.HTM
A tenth of a second is enough time for a beam of light to cover nearly 19,000 miles or for a hummingbird to flap its wings 10 times. -
Yes, in places distant from the resolvers (or poorly served) in network terms, this will of course happen. What can you do in a tenth of a second? Maybe blink. ;) Just connecting to the remote webserver with the browser, never mind loading content, takes far longer. So you should not suffer from the extra two tenths of a second in response, but you may (or may not) have issues with websites that geolocate for their CDNs by DNS server location. If something becomes unusable in that circumstance, you may want to change resolvers, or add temporary entries in Hosts with addresses returned by resolvers that give more optimal IPs.
