Do you have an error showing at your network Dashboard, or in your Updater?  (Network Already Exists / IP Address Taken by Another User / !Yours)

    See  http://www.opendns.com/support/article/83

You are using OpenDNS, routed to the Chicago location, and the network ID is 9757711,  which may not be yours if the above error exists.

    ---

If you configured OpenDNS addresses on a router, make sure that all DNS fields are filled. If there are more than 2, use in addition 208.67.222.220 and 208.67.220.222

Make sure there are no statically configure additional non-OpenDNS addresses on your device(s).

    --

Additionally, some browsers have features which ignore your DNS settings. Opera, with Turbo engaged, uses a proxy. Google Chrome or Toolbar may directly connect to Google servers. Mobile devices and apps may do just about anything.

    Hello,

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing difficulties. I see in your account that your IP address was recently updated on November 19th, and it seems that your address in the debug output matches your account.

There's a couple of suggestions we recommend to help further investigate this issue:

    • Enable your Stats and Logs in your dashboard. If your network is set up correctly, the system should be able to record your network traffic and see why you are not being blocked. Please allow 24 hours for the system to collect data for your network; in the meantime, please visit the blocked sites throughout the day so the we can easily see it in your results.
    • To ensure that OpenDNS is working properly for you, please flush your browser and DNS cache by following the instructions below:

      http://www.opendns.com/support/article/67
      http://www.opendns.com/support/article/68

Let us know how this works for you.

    Best regards,

What does http://welcome.opendns.com/ show up with?

If you're using OpenDNS, post the complete plain text output of the following command:

    nslookup -type=txt debug.opendns.com.
