    Only ISPs assign IP addresses, so only your ISP could give you a static IP address, no other service in the world, be it OpenDNS or another.

    No I didn't think that would be possible but if I could just see the new ip address from my computer in the UK without having to use teamviewer, that would be enough.

    I see what you mean.  You'll not be using a recursive DNS service like OpenDNS, but a DDNS hosting service in conjunction with a DDNS Update Client on your computer.  Then you can just query the hostname of your choice to obtain the IP address.
