I would look to block by categories wherever possible.  Or perhaps block all and individually whitelist the ones you want.

No, there is no other way than to "manage individual domains", as the name says.

It seems you're looking after a whitelist-only mode which comes with OpenDNS Home VIP.  Or block TLDs (except COM), and whitelist what you need.

As cindelicato said, and rotbliz added to... you can use the categories which blocks massive websites with one-click. For the handful it misses, you can enter those one by one.

Alternately, you can look at an app like HostsMan which allows you to tailor your blacklists, as well as use lists maintained by others.

Personally I find HostsMan a nice compliment to OpenDNS.

"is HostsMan can help me Router ?"  -  No.

"or add my list her(e) ?"  -  Maybe, depending on your (unspecified) router.  Check for a file /etc/hosts on the router.

"Where can i use or find "categories"  how can i manage ?"

Go to https://dashboard.opendns.com/settings/ and click the IP address of your network.  You'll be landing at "Content Filtering".

Choose your filtering level > Custom > Choose the categories you want to block.

You said this yourself above already: "Manage individual domains"

I.e. add your specific domain names to the "always block" list at the same page.  You have just 25 entries with OpenDNS Home Basic.  With OpenDNS Home VIP you have 50 entries.

@mr ali... my router has a "block sites" feature, but as rotblitz said, routers are all quite different. Even so, entering a list of  blocked domains on my router would require one at a time entry just like OpenDNS. If you have a long list you will be frustrated with the free OpenDNS account since only 25 entries are permitted.

Did whitelisting gstatic.com help? For youtube, I also had to whitelist "youtube.be" and "youtube-nocookie.com". Good luck!

Maybe you would have more success with the OpenDNS white-list only option. With paid option you can block entire internet, including your 10,000 sites, and allow only to pass through the sites you approve. Maybe that approved list would be smaller than your blacklist.
