Problems with a Belkin Router using Comcast ISP (dynamic IP)
I'm trying to configure the family shield through my Belkin Router to filter all devices connected to my wireless network. My ISP is Xfinity / Comcast, so I have a dynamic IP address. I have downloaded and configured OpenDNS updater v.2.2.1 and I've set it up.
When I try to update my DNS settings with the Belkin Router, and I uncheck the "automatic from ISP" box, the Belkin page does not let me make the change and it gives me the note "DNS should be automatic because WAN connection type is not static."
What do I need to do to set up family shield?

According to https://store.opendns.com/setup/router/Belkin, the right sequence of steps is:
- Configure the OpenDNS resolver addresses.
- Only if this is with success, run an updater and configure your dashboard.
That said, you did the subsequent steps without even having finished the first and most important. If your Belkin router doesn't have fields to enter static DNS resolvers addresses, then you cannot configure this router to use OpeNDNS, so easy.
"and I uncheck the "automatic from ISP" box"
Oops, this is not part of any instructions, so don't do this, else you will break your internet connection.

"and I uncheck the "automatic from ISP" box"
Sorry, sure, just seeing that this is part of the instructions.
"the Belkin page does not let me make the change and it gives me the note "DNS should be automatic because WAN connection type is not static.""
If you got this device from your ISP, contact your ISP's support, else contact Belkin support to get this solved. OpenDNS and we OpenDNS users cannot help here.
