"Invalid domains" don't need to (and cannot) be blocked.  They can't be reached anyway.

This asus-f2a85.home is clearly an internal network name of a device, and one or more of your computers are configured to try to connect to it.  What device could this be, a printer or NAS or what?  You'll want to add asus-f2a85.home to your VPN exceptions, so that the computer is able to connect to this device again or recognizes that it does not exist.

But I have an "invalid domain", actually two of them, opening advertising. Clearly these can be reached.

    http://www.theprofitsmaker.net/
    https://www.tweakbit.com/

Without the http:// or https:// I get invalid domain. With, I can add them.

    These domains are not invalid:

    nslookup www.theprofitsmaker.net.
    Server:         192.168.178.1
    Address:        192.168.178.1#53

    Non-authoritative answer:
    www.theprofitsmaker.net canonical name = theprofitsmaker-com.obox.netdna-cdn.com.
    Name:   theprofitsmaker-com.obox.netdna-cdn.com
    Address: 198.232.125.32

    nslookup www.tweakbit.com.
    Server:         192.168.178.1
    Address:        192.168.178.1#53

    Non-authoritative answer:
    www.tweakbit.com        canonical name = tweakbit.com.
    Name:   tweakbit.com
    Address: 104.237.131.139

And they can be added to the "always block" list.

Yes, it is a valid domain, in its full form, but not in the short form recommended by the interface.

It was something not previously encountered.

Sorry for my ignorance, I still do not see where your problem is.

The topic of this thread is "Invalid domain listed under Stats > Domains (can't be blocked)", and the domains you listed are neither invalid nor can't they not be blocked.

And there is no "short form" of domains.  HTTP and HTTPS are protocols and not part of the domain name, never.  Therefore it does not make sense and you cannot use the protocols to add domains to the blacklist.  The root domains are tweakbit.com and theprofitsmaker.net, and the www ones are subdomains of them.  All normal.
