Facebook Hosted Comments
I have Social Networking blocked via OpenDNS, but I DO allow Facebook, via a Never Block rule. The problem I'm encountering is that I cannot access the comments from websites that use Facebook to moderate. For example, if I go to http://www.citizen-times.com/ ,and try to add or view comments to articles, nothing appears, no errors, just white space where the comments should be. If I use a different DNS and go to the same sites, the comments show up.
What do I need to open up within OpenDNS to allow these comment pages to be used?
Thanks.

Hmm, what has Facebook to do with citizen-times.com? Are their comments hosted by Facebook?
Whatever, to not block anything you either don't block it in the first instance, or you add the related domain names to the "never block" list, as always.
To find out what is being blocked, visit your stats: https://dashboard.opendns.com/stats/all/blockeddomains
Because your stats are not real-time, you may use a tool like www.nirsoft.net/utils/dns_query_sniffer.html to see in real-time what domains are needed and blocked when surfing a website.
You may see subdomains of fbcdn.net and also Akamai and Edgesuite CDN domains being blocked which you must whitelist to the broadest level.

Hi 3dd13,
A lot of Facebook's API integrations are done via facebook.net as well. Make sure you have both facebook.com and facebook.net listed (and not just www.facebook.com either.)
fbcdn.net is not tagged as Social Networking, nor are the associated Akamai or Edgesuite CDN domains. We work hard to only tag the specific domains necessary and tagging CDNs as anything other then CDN leads to too many issues.
