For a home user, what package is needed to allow for content filtering without typo correction?

As you found out yourself, you'll have to upgrade to OpenDNS Home VIP in order to be able disabling NXDOMAIN redirection without losing content filtering.

Thank you. I knew *some* purchased package was required, but it wasn't clear what. When reading the VIP description, it wasn't obvious to me that it included what I need.

Now I'm confused. I paid the $20, and my advanced settings doesn't have a checkbox for enabling/disabling typo correction. It just has a link to manage

Exceptions for VPN users. Where do I disable it now?

Does your dashboard look differently from the attached?

It does! It looks like the attached. (hence my problem)

(Sorry, that's not the entire Advanced Settings page, just highlighting the area where the checkbox is missing.)

I don't have VIP, but a grandfathered account where the dashboard may be different.  You'll have to wait until a VIP user sees this, or open a support ticket.

As no "VIPs" seemed to be strolling past here, I submitted a ticket. Will try to remember to report back here.

So, I submitted a ticket by the following route:

Dashboard / Support / Open a support ticket

I now see that there is also:

    Community / Forums / Submit a request

I haven't gotten a response. Which of the above is the "correct" or "best" way to ask for help?

Both options should work.  Especially, you will receive an automatic e-mail response with the ticket number within minutes.  And you normally receive a response from a human within 72 hours, almost earlier.  These are my personal experiences.

Check thoroughly your spam folders, also via webmail interface.

Whatever, due to the recent problem with support e-mail there could still be problems...

I had read about the email issue, but this was a web submission. I received no email, and checked my spam folders (which I do daily anyway). Guess I will try again :-/

There are also mail providers who silently discard e-mail deemed to be spam.  And some maintain a "hidden" spam folder...

This is the dark side of spam fighting...

    Hi all,

For OpenDNS VIP subscribers, you should be able to disable 'typo correction' by going to Settings ->Customization ->Enable NX Domain Redirection -> then select "no custom guide page". I also included a screenshot to help you out.

    Best,
