i couldnt add the network ip adress

iam living in france here iam using freebox i configerd everything. in seetings it asks add a network .i entered the ip adress of freebox router it says You cannot add a network in private IP space. any one please help me. i want to monitor my childrens using internet by iphone,Samsung galaxy, and ican easily block unwanted sites please help me

  Indeed, you cannot register private IP addresses with OpenDNS, just public IP addresses.  If your ISP assigns you a private IP address, you're out of luck using some enhanced features of OpenDNS like configurable content filtering and.stats and logs.

  In order to use OpenDNS, you would have to use an internet connection with a publicly routable IP address.

  Yes, find your public IP address, not the "address of the router".  You may indeed have a normal public IP, you just entered the wrong one.

  See the top center of the page at your Dashboard https://dashboard.opendns.com/   which will show you your current public IP.
