Once openDNS set-up, iPad "unable to join the network"

I recently set-up openDNS for home use. Desktop and laptop are working great but all of a sudden, the iPad is "unable to join the network". Has anyone experienced this as an issue? Do I need to change any network setting?

  Ensure that the iOS device is configured to obtain the TCP/IP settings automatically.
