How do I stop the OpenDNS updater from stealing focus?
Whenever I have OpenDNSUpdater running, it checks for updates about every minute. This steals focus from the window I'm using, which is very annoying to say the least.
I know that it is OpenDNSUpdater that is doing this because I have a program that reports all changes of focus; it reports that OpenDNSUpdater is the culprit. Furthermore, when I kill that program in Task Manager, the focus stealing stops.
Is there a way to prevent this behavior without losing the benefits of OpenDNSUpdater?
Thanks.

Hi @technovelist,
I'm sorry you're experiencing difficulties with the IP Updater. Are you by chance using Windows as your operating system? If so, try switching to the Marc's Updater at http://updater.marc-hoersken.de. This can run as a Windows service in the background, and it will not interrupt your focus. If this is occurring on OS X, please take a screenshot of the version OS X you're running and for the IP Updater, then attach it to this thread.
Next, try uninstalling and re-installing the application and see if this helps the situation for you.
Best regards,
Anthony
