What "oops error": Just in Stats, or for the service as a whole? http://welcome.opendns.com  <--- Does this give you an Oops? Or your Updater does?

From what you say, it sounds like the latter, which is why nothing is apparently working. In this case, you may have misconfigured the OpenDNS addresses, or they have been changed. Or you Son has admin rights on his account/machine and can change whatever he likes. Or the browser is using a proxy...

If you get Oops from the link above, how did you configure the OpenDNS addresses, and are they still there?

You need to ensure that the configuration of the OpenDNS resolver addresses is still there or must recover it.
    https://store.opendns.com/start

When this has been restored (check at http;//welcome.opendns.com/), ensure that your IP address is registered with your network:
    https://dashboard.opendns.com/settings/
Keep it updated by running an Updater (see the link on the same page).

I am having the same issue. The main stats page shows only sample data, and any specific searches for a single day or a range returns "We were unable to retrieve the stats you requested. Please try your request again. If you continue to have problems, please contact support.". My router is properly configured, and my PC (running Updater) is getting the address from DHCP.

I used to be able to check on what my family was up to online, but I can't see the stats anymore. Help!

    "same issue"   -   same answer.

Do you have stats and logs enabled under Advanced Settings?

Didn't read the advice?   "If you continue to have problems, please contact support.""

Whatever, in addition you may want to post the complete plain text output of the following command here:

    nslookup -type=txt debug.opendns.com.

No, you are not having the same issue at all, if you look at your description vs. the original.  - Unless your updater is throwing an error you haven't noticed, or your Network Dashboard has the error you haven't noticed.

If such is the case, you may want this: http://www.opendns.com/support/article/83    !Yours / Network Already Exists / IP Address Taken by Another User

If not, make sure Stats collection is turned on at your Dashboard.

If it is already on, open a support ticket.

A couple of points on stats:

    1. For our free service, if you don't check your stats every 2 weeks, we will disable stats and logging until you visit the stats again
    2. Whenever stats collection is (re-)started, it can take up to 24 hours before you start to see results in the Dashboard

If scenario #1 happens, you should see a message in the Dashboard indicating that we had disabled them but will start collecting them again.  Check your stats at least once every 2 weeks to prevent that.
