Ensure that you're using OpenDNS.  http://welcome.opendns.com/
Ensure that your IP address is registered with your dashboard network.  https://dashboard.opendns.com/settings/
Ensure that you flushed your caches.  https://support.opendns.com/entries/26336865

Still problems?  Then post the complete plain text output of the following diagnostic commands here:

    nslookup -type=txt debug.opendns.com.
    nslookup chaturbate.com.

Still no luck, no matter what I do http://welcome.opendns.com/ tells me

    You aren’t using OpenDNS yet.
    Let’s fix that.

How ever when I go to http://www.internetbadguys.com it tells me

    Phishing Site Blocked

    Here is a trace:

According to your output you're using OpenDNS.  If  http://welcome.opendns.com/ tells you that you do not, then something must be wrong with your browser.  What browser are you using?

Also, it seems your IP address 184.148.72.40 is not registered with your dashboard network, but with another, and caturbate.com is not being blocked with this other network configuration.

good day. thank you for your response. I am not sure what u mean not registered with dashboard, I can clearly see my ip address is added to the dashboard under the network called Home. Anyway, I just did everything again, same way. Now when I go to http://welcome.opendns.com/ I see WELCOME TO OPEN DNS! Which is good. However the site https://chaturbate.com/couple-cams/  is still visible. I am using Chrome browser but I tried Firefox and IE with the same result.

"I can clearly see my ip address is added to the dashboard under the network called Home."

It was not when you posted the command outputs above, or you don't have chaturbate.com blocked by your settings.

" However the site https://chaturbate.com/couple-cams/  is still visible."

Did you ensure that you flushed your caches as advised above before?  You have to do this after each settings change, else your change can appear much delayed.
Do you have at least one of the Chat, Nudity, Pornography categories blocked, or at least chaturbate.com in your "Always block" list?

ohh... I did flush dns now. Now I am getting OOPS page on http://welcome.opendns.com/

I am trying to add a filter so my kids dont visit such sites, so I tried many links like that, most of them are working. so I cant really add each one of them to the block list manually.

flushed dns again, see WELCOME ok now, however for example this site still works http://xhamster.com/

It seems you do not reliably and not always use OpenDNS.

Visit your router monreseau.home at 192.168.2.1 to see if you filled all DNS fields with OpenDNS resolver addresses (you must!):
    208.67.222.222
    208.67.220.220
    208.67.222.220
    208.67.220.222

yes those are the DNS servers. I guess please close this post.  No success. I went to photobucket, site is blocked, went to porn, it is allowed.

No reason to give up.  You are nearly there.

What categories do you have blocked?  Any individual entries in the whitelist or blacklist?  You may want to post screen shots of your dashboard Network page, your dashboard Content Filtering page, and the router page where you have OpenDNS configured.

If you need more thorough assistance, you should open a support ticket.  You may have to provide information not to be posted in a public forum.

Have you followed *all* of the troubleshooting steps that rotblitz offered in the first response in this thread? If you have, and still are not getting success please post the output of the diagnostic commands he listed.

ajax.911 I'm attempting to look into your issue but I was unable to locate your account.  I've reached out to you via a support ticket to continue troubleshooting.

I tried everything less the text commands cause idk what to do with that, but all the filters works fine less chaturbate.com and xvideos.com, i added http://i.imgur.com/i9wXakY.png individually, but, still can access to them

    @Kristy
You better contacted nopornplease1, not ajax911.

    @nopornplease1
"I tried everything less the text commands cause idk what to do with that"

You do the same as ajax911 did back in August.  You open a command prompt / terminal window and enter these commands.  Then copy & paste the output to here.

If this is over your head, proceed with https://support.opendns.com/entries/21841580-Diagnostic-Tool-Link-and-Instructions

(Btw, I cannot view your picture at Imgur, because I have this domain blocked.  You better attached the picture here.)

I'm not seeing much traffic from your network which indicates our DNS settings may not be configured correctly.  If you visit opendns.com/welcome/ does it say you are using OpenDNS?  If not, please run the following diagnostic tool on one of the computers on the network having issues, enter in the optional domain field, and copy, paste and post the URL of the results so that we can further investigate:

    [Windows Diagnostic Tool](http://www.opendns.com/download/windows/diagnostic)
    [Mac Diagnostic Tool](http://www.opendns.com/download/mac/diagnostic)

The link required after the test will look like the one found here:

@rotblitz ahh that explains why I couldn't find his account.  @nopornplease1 the diagnostic tool I posted above will also run the commands rotbliz specified without having to run them through command prompt, but only OpenDNS support staff will be able to assist you if you go that route since the URL of results is only viewable to us

take a look http://i.imgur.com/RUznWBC.png, cam4 is blocked, but chaturbate is open perfectly....

You need to follow the diagnostics directions that we are providing you, not just keep repeating that a certain domain isn't blocked.

Either paste the results of the command line based tests rotblitz provided here, and not at imgur.com, or (if you don't know how to do what rotblitz said) follow Kristy's directions and paste the resulting URL in here. If you don't do either of those things there is very little that anyone can do to help you.

im here, asking for help, and im trying to do everything you told me, but like i said, the diagnostic has not been finishing, because it stay in one tracert, or sometimes in two tracerts but never end, but like english is not my first language, and i dont have high skills with software, i guessed that a picture could give you more info than i do.

  • Avatar
    mattwilson9090

The picture is not providing useful information, and like rotblitz said, many of us have the domain you are using  for pictures blocked.

We really do need the information the rotblitz or Kristy are asking for to go any further.

Since you can't follow Kristy's method you'll need to find someone who can follow rotblitz's and help you in providing the necessary diagnostic information.

  • Avatar
    rotblitz

"the diagnostic has not been finishing"

So break it and provide what has been collected until then.

"like english is not my first language, and i dont have high skills with software"

I was not aware that language skills and software skills can be related.  But here it's not about both of these.

"i guessed that a picture could give you more info"

Sure, no problem, you can continue to post pictures, e.g. with the command outputs I asked for.  But possibly attach the pictures here directly ("Attach file") instead of uploading them at an image hosting service.  Btw, I looked at your images in between, and they are good for nothing.  You could have saved these efforts.

    Then try again.

    • Open a command prompt window (Windows) or terminal window (Mac OSX).
    • Execute this command:  nslookup -type=txt debug.opendns.com.
    • Now execute also this command:  nslookup chaturbate.com.
    • Copy & paste the complete output of the command to here.
    • Also tell us where you have the OpenDNS resolver addresses configured.

Else there is no way to help you further.

well i guess i did it:

  • Avatar

    Yes, you did it!

Everything looks fine, and 67.215.65.131 indicates that chaturbate.com is blocked by your "always block" list.  You have OpenDNS configured on your computer, and you're using the OpenDNS data center in Miami.  Your IP address 200.8.244.217 is registered with your OpenDNS dashboard network ID 28233301.

If this site is still not blocked by your browser, then you retrieve content from your caches and must flush your caches once.

I have the same issue with Bell Home Router 2000, a Sagecom 5250

It looks Natting might be the isue, a few others might be using OPENDNS with different configurations with the same given ISP public IP..

I have the same issues as ajax above.. one site is blocked ok, porn are open.. so looks the Network exists for other users..

@Kristy, do you know if several accounts are using the same Network/public IP? thus filters are cross used..etc..

  • Avatar
    Patrick Colford

    Hi Michel,

It's possible for ISPs to use NAT for their networks, yes. If your ISP does this and the network is registered, then you'll be filtered if you're using OpenDNS as your DNS resolver. You'll want to run the commands listed above or open up a support ticket and send us the diagnostic output.
