    Hi there,

For people who do not have OpenDNS accounts and only use our resolvers for resolutions, they shouldn't be filtered except for some malicious content and phishing websites. If you inherit another user's registered IP address, you run the risk of inheriting their filtering settings, if they didn't keep their registered network up to date.

If you find yourself being filtered, the best practice is to open a support ticket with your current IP so that we can remove it from our system.

The default filtering depends on the resolver addresses being used:

    208.67.222.222, 208.67.220.220, 208.67.222.220, 208.67.220.222 : as explained by Patrick above.

208.67.222.123, 208.67.220.123 : The FamilyShield resolver addresses block "adult" content and Proxies/Anonymizers in addition.
