"several sites were noted that I needed to follow up."

I have never seen this.  What and where exactly would this be?

"When I read the list now for the same date, these sites don't appear. Could you tell me how this would have happened?"

Maybe.  If you have a free service, stats are stored for the last 14 days only.  The DNS stats in question may have been older?
Or you didn't select the right date filter?  ("Everything" does not cover the date filter.)

Date filter is single date, Nov.9 2014. I'm sure of the date the sites were visited and I noted them down, believing they were porn. When I went back to the same date list to review, hundreds of domains were still listed for that date. If I hadn't made note of these, I would never have noticed anything missing. I wondered whether if the IP address of that user had changed in the last couple of days, their domains would be omitted retroactively from the list or some sort of explanation like that?

What were the domains you noted for Nov 9th that are not appearing in your stats? I am able to pull up a list of domains for Nov 9th, were you able to check the other pages if the domain was recorded (located at the bottom of the stats, click NEXT). Just a friendly reminder that all domains, including websites requesting domains in the backend, will be recorded. With this said, if you have a lot of single entries, it will fall off to the next page and can be missed.

The ones I wrote down to look into were richardsrealm, yummymama and galleries.nubiles - none of which appear in the list for that date now. I can go through all 800+ domains for that day - like I said, if I hadn't noted them I wouldn't have known they were missing. Is there some sort of cache-clearing, or IP updating, or... anything that would allow sites to first appear, and then later not appear, in a date list?

    "richardsrealm, yummymama and galleries.nubiles"

But these are in no way valid domain names.  Even if you found them in the stats, they would not have been resolved.

All I noted for myself to look into were the names of the websites. It doesn't really matter if I wanted to follow up on MSNBC, Yahoo, and KittensRUs - when I had looked into the content and then wanted to go back to the list and export it to discuss with the person who had viewed the sites, the items were no longer showing in the list. I didn't make these websites up, I wrote them down from the list of domains requested on Nov. 9.

SO my question is simply - is there any mechanism or process that could remove sites from a list after the fact? Is my domain list recorded as a snapshot in time, or is it re-queried when requested later on? If the latter - what could/would be changed? Thanks.
