As you post under "Netgear Live Parental Controls", do you have LPC enabled on your Netgear router?

If yes, it seems you use a network at the normal OpenDNS dashboard too.  https://dashboard.opendns.com/settings/
Delete the network there and use the LPC dashboard at https://netgear.opendns.com/ only.

If no, let me know, and I'll provide you with different instructions.

I have the same issue and I do not have a network listed on the normal OpenDNS dashboard.  I installed user utility, restarted browser and cleared cache, but I still get blocked even though my user should have no filter.

So post the complete plain text output of the following command here:

    nslookup -type=txt debug.opendns.com.

    Hi,

According to the results above, you are not logged into the bypass account. I suggest the following:

    1. Temporarily disable the Wi-Fi on the router
    2.  Connect directly to the router through the Ethernet port
    3. Launch the LPC User Bypass Utility on all machines and sign-out of any bypass accounts.
    4. Uninstall LPC User Bypass Utility
    5. Uninstall the LPC Management Utility
    6. Launch NETGEAR genie app and click on Parental Controls section and follow the instructions on the screen.

Also, I see that you already have a ticket open, you may reply to the ticket with your results.

i have 1 bypass account (itsystem) with filtering level none and  trying to access rediff.com and it's blocked, you can also check attachment of user utility software does not work, and my PC is connected to the netgear router there are websites. I have also found that your DNS 208.67.222.222 & 208.67.220.220 doesn't come to the router once the LPC management utility is enabled. Netgear genie show internet connectivity, but the system is directly connected to the netgear router..

Do you have a Netgear router with Live Parental Controls enabled? The topic here is "I have nothing filtered on my parental controls and am blocked from reaching facebook and hotmail".  You do have filtered, and your problem is not about Facebook and Hotmail.  So, why do you post this in this thread instead of opening your own?

"Can you please tell me how this unknown user is able to access my network"

It's the other way around: you hi-jacked his network while registering his IP address with your OpenDNS dashboard network:
I would suggest you correct this here: https://dashboard.opendns.com/settings/
And run an Updater further on to keep your IP address information updated at OpenDNS.

Another reason could be that your ISP assigns you an IP address shared with multiple users. In this case you shouldn't register your IP address at all with OpenDNS.  Delete your network at https://dashboard.opendns.com/settings/ then.

    See also https://support.opendns.com/entries/47792384

"how can I get complete statistics of number of site he visited from my network till date."

You cannot. You can however view the related DNS stats in case you have stats and logs enabled:
    https://dashboard.opendns.com/stats/all/start/

    Hi Mahi_gil,

I recommend that you open  a support ticket. This is a public forum and we do not recommend that you post information that contains other user's email address.

Looking forward to your support ticket.

    @rotblitz - Thanks!

I have the exact same problem. I just opened an openDNS account a few days ago and have disabled all filtering but still unable to get to facebook.

I have no filters set and am being blocked from Facebook.

"I have the exact same problem."

You'll get the exact same answers then, with the same advices.  (Why should they be different at all?)  Follow them!

If you find that you don't have "the exact same problem", then open a new thread on your own under the right section.  This section here is for "Netgear Live Parental Controls".  Especially, provide the output of the diagnostic command as above.

Because I have the exact same problem with my Netgear live parental controls with no filter and have tried all that has been mentioned here with no progress or else I would not have posted here... I'm not familiar with what the "output of the diagnostic command" is. Please speak non-tech.

    Thank you,

"I'm not familiar with what the "output of the diagnostic command" is. Please speak non-tech."

If you operate technical equipment, you cannot expect to handle this in a non-tech manner, can you?
Same as if driving a car, you cannot do this in a non-driver manner, else you would cause much damage and accidents.

Ok, open a command prompt window to execute the following diagnostic commands:

        nslookup -type=txt debug.opendns.com.

        nslookup facebook.com.

        nslookup www.facebook.com.

Then copy & paste all output as plain text to here, so that I can see what your problem is.

You did it wrong.  Try again.

    1. Open a command prompt window:  Start > Run > cmd
    2. Then enter the three full commands (inc parameters as listed by me, one after the other.  Don't forget to enter also the trailing dots, these are part of the commands.

I "had" the same issue as the people on this forum in regards to being blocked access to facebook. If you want to save the headache of having to deal with all the technical jargon and want a router to simply work, get a different brand router. I got a D-Link Cloud App-Enabled router (less parental controls) but solved my connectivity issues. I'll have to use an app to control usage but using freeDNS has too many bugs.

As you post in the "Netgear Live Parental Controls" section, you don't use Netgear LPC, but OpenDNS Home.

Facebook is blocked for you, because the dashboard network 16851311 where your IP address 69.92.55.225:57 is registered with has facebook.com in its "always block" list. If you visit https://dashboard.opendns.com/settings/ and see that your network is not registered with 69.92.55.225:57, you need to open a support ticket to get your IP address released from the other network it is registered with.  Else remove facebook.com from your "always block" list.

Once I activate LPC on Netgear Gennie, all web pages are blocked and internet connectivity is lost (even gennie can´t access the server anymore). When I check the router, DNS's are set to 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.222... somebody post, they are not useful any more. Gennie software fails with this error?. No fix from Netgear?.

If I manually change DNS's to  208.67.222.123 and 208.67.220.123, I can reach internet connectivity again but parental controls don´t work at all

Why did you post in a thread about "I have nothing filtered on my parental controls and am blocked from reaching facebook and hotmail"?  Your problem seems to be of a totally different nature.

What's your exact Netgear router model?

"Gennie software fails with this error?"  -  What is "this" error message from Genie?  You didn't say it.

"No fix from Netgear?"  -  You had to ask Netgear, not here.
