Can I use LPC parental controls on a Netgear router that is a second router?
I am a Verizon customer, and I am required to have a FiOS modem-router (it's a wireless-N Actiontec). I have set the DNS to OpenDNS to enhance my home network security and to block P2P. I would like to move up to the kind of time-based, account-based parental controls offered through LPC, but this only works through a Netgear router. I am sad to lose the stats generated by OpenDNS but I need the time-based parental controls more than I need the stats.
If I buy a Netgear router can I daisy-chain it to my Actiontec router? I think I would set up the #1 router so that the DHCP address range starts at 192.168.1.11, turn off the wireless on the #1 router, set the #2 router's IP address to 192.168.1.2, disable the DHCP server on the #2 router, and plug an ethernet cable from a LAN port on the #2 router to a LAN port on the #1 router; then reboot. I have used this kind of setup to successfully run a kids/guest network separate from my main network, with two separate SSIDs (it was with the Actiontec as #1 and a Cisco router as #2). Could I use a Netgear router as the #2 router, or is there something special about the LPC software/hardware that would not work if the Netgear is the #2 router in a setup like this one?
If I had a two-SSID network with two conventional routers configured as above, is it possible for the #2 router to have its own OpenDNS account? In that case I could turn off Facebook during homework hours, etc and simply unplug the power to the #2 router late at night, while keeping the ability for the parents on the #1 network to stay up and work if they want.
Thank you very much for your hard work on OpenDNS and thank you for considering this question!

I talked to Netgear support and they gave the following advice:
Set the Actiontec (#1) modem-router to be just a modem and not a router.
Then connect the Netgear router (#2) with Live Parental Controls to the #1 router, by an ethernet cable between the WAN ports of both routers.
Then set up the Live Parental Controls on the Netgear router so that there are controls for the kids, and a bypass account for the parents.

I am in Australia and as I am on a fibre optic network, I have to use a gateway supplied by the Internet Service Provider. The way I have my network setup is shown below:
-ISP Provided router connected to fibre optic network
-Netgear router connected to ISP router
-NetGear router set to no user/password
-The ISP router uses 10.0.0.138, the netgear is using 192.168.1.1
That should be all!
I tried to disable NAT but that killed the internet so I suggest that you keep NAT on.
